Pickled Spanish Sardines With Herbs


ABOUT RECIPE

This recipe is a celebration of simplicity and flavor, where each ingredient shines in perfect harmony.

At the heart of this dish lies the star ingredient: Gueyu Mar Spanish Sardines. Renowned for their exceptional quality and exquisite taste, these sardines elevate the dish to gastronomic heights, infusing it with a rich, savory essence that transports you to the shores of Spain with every bite.

INGREDIENTS

- A can of La Brújula "Sardinillas Picantes" Small Sardines in Hot Olive Oil Nº126  (or any type of sardine.)

- Coarse sea salt

- white vinegar

- 1 tablespoon ANTONIO ROMERO Arbequina Extra Virgin Olive Oil 

- Garlic - cloves, thinly sliced

- Fresh herbs (such as thyme, rosemary, or bay leaves)

- Red pepper flakes


COOKING 

INSTRUCTION

1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. Arrange sardines in a baking dish.

3. Sprinkle with salt, garlic slices, and herbs.

4. Pour vinegar over sardines.

5. Drizzle with olive oil.

6. Cover with foil and bake for 20-25 minutes.

7. Let cool, then transfer to plate.

8. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
